About the Event

This event takes place at the Dare Valley Country Park Visitor Centre where National Park geologist Alan Bowring will talk about some of the landscapes of the upper Cynon valley - the extraordinary history of its rocks in ‘deep time’ - from deserts through tropical seas to swamps. Understand the impact of the ice ages on an area more recently transformed by us in our search for coal and ironstone. *Ties in with a local walk in the Big Skill programme on Sun 10th Sept - attend either or both!
