Pews-To-Bookshelves Woodworking Workshops Funded by Pen y Cymoedd community fund this is a carpentry skills course to recycle the pitch-pine pews from the historic Cwmparc Parc Chapel into bookshelves.

Every Thursday & Friday, commencing Thursday 16^th July, until Friday 18^th  September, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this project will recycle the pitch-pine pews from the historic Cwmparc Parc Chapel into bookshelves, establishing space for a library preserving Welsh texts and literature whilst clearing space for local access for future events, stalls and community projects. 

To start these Big Skill workshops, that will provide you with woodworking skills & also offer an opportunity to gain a qualification, sign up for a 6 week course

In short, this project promotes practical woodworking skills, creates a useful permanent library installation for an isolated valleys village, and reopens a neglected public landmark building, whilst recycling unused timber.
