Tue, 09 Nov
|St Peter's Church
Learn how to write like an early Christian scribe! The "Uncial Script" was used for copying the gospels from as early as 300 AD onwards. This round and rhythmic script lends itself to many modern applications as well. Let yourself be surprised.

About the Event
Each participant will be handed an edged felt tip pen, paper, ruler, pencil and a hand out of the script.
After a short historical introduction of the script I will demo the script and we will practise all 26 letters in their specific groups. Followed by writing a pangram sentence and an introduction to spacing.
Throughout the day there will be many demos and much individual help.
After a short lunch break, we will turn our skills to writing a short sentence or a few words and turning it into a folded paper creation, adding some colourful decorative elements. Your little creation might even become a gift for someone special!
