Figure Making: Tricks of the Trade

Making figures is a skill not a talent. I will show you the steps that lead to believable, expressive sculptures of people. Once you know this stuff you will be able to make great looking sculptures of anything with practice! Figure sculptures can be a way to express those feelings that words don’t reach and after these last couple of years that matters. These tricks and techniques open the way to all sorts of creativity and are great for everyone irregardless of experience or ability.

To keep it affordable, fun and accessible we will use recycled materials, kitchen foil and wire to make the forms. Then we add layers of colour to transform them into impressive, attractive sculptures that share ideas and stories.
