About the Event
Before the rise of oil painting, egg tempera was the most common painting medium. Much of the religious panel painting from the 12th and 15th centuries was done in this delicate and subtle medium. In this fun workshop led by artists Karin Mear and Nigel Evans you will learn how to make tempera using an egg binder and dry pigments. You will then create your own egg tempera painting on a prepared wooden panel. You will have a selection of images to choose from or you may design your own. All materials are provided.
Suitable for all skills levels.
