Turn dry sticks into charcoal using the science of fire. These charcoal sticks can be used to draw, or turned into inks

About the Event
Lizzy's kits provide the following:
Willow sticks
A paint tin with a hole pre made and sawdust.
NB: You will need your own secateurs, oven gloves, source of heat, first aid kit & way of putting the fire out.
If you do not require a kit, here is what you will need:
Dry sticks – Hazel or Willow are great but any will do
A source of heat – Fire or Camping gas stove (don’t do this inside it makes smoke)
A clean golden syrup tin or metal paint tin. Old metal quality street/biscuit tins work too. It needs to be metal, clean and have a tight fitting lid.
Secateurs to cut the sticks to fit inside the tin
A hammer and nail – to put a hole in the lid of your tin
A sharp knife – to trim a stick to fit in the hole.
Oven gloves or tongs
Recommended:
First aid kit
Method to extinguish fire
Optional:
Saw dust - will keep your sticks straighter
