Join Lizzy from Pippin & Gile as she guides you though the steps to creating your own colour palette of natural inks. Using natural materials, and common household items. During this workshop you’ll create a range of colours across the spectrum including the three primary colours.

About the Event
Lizzy owner of Pippin & Gile will guide you though the process of creating your colour palette of natural inks. Using commonly found kitchen foods, spices & tools Lizzy with take you though the steps of creating a diverse and rich palette of colours. There will be some time near the end to experiment with your new colour collection and see what inspires your brushes.
You'll come away with a set of inks in primary colours, a some experimental drawings and a series of recipes for brewing high quality living inks and a big smile on your face.
The workshops will take place over zoom, and will give you lots of time for instruction, to try it out yourself, to ask questions and to talk to others in the group too.
some commonly found tools and materials are –
Yellow Ink: 2 tbsp Turmeric, 50ml water Red Ink: 2 tbsp Paprika, 50ml water Blue Ink: ½ Red Cabbage (shredded), boiling water to just cover Green & Purple Ink: Vinegar (any kind) / lemon juice / bicarbonate of soda / bar of soap, You will also need: spoons, knife, chopping board, 5 jam jars or small dishes. For brewing: three small jars with lids, medium saucepan, kettle, colander / sieve, bowl or jug. For filtering: sieve(s), muslin cloth / coffee filter paper / paper towel sheets For painting: paper, three basic paintbrushes and a glass of water
