Felt & Fibre Artist

Emma Bevan is a designer/maker & tutor, working as a felt & fibre artist. Emma’s creations are made from handmade felt, sourced from local, hand-dyed wools. “I make feltscapes, 3D animal sculptures, mythical creatures, jewellery, clothing and accessories. I love working with wool, it is so diverse! As a tutor I also love teaching and the best bit is seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they ‘magic’ their wool into felt!” Many items are commissions, but she also runs regular workshops and travels to various Shows & Fayres, in addition, selling from local craft shops, and online.  www.ffolkyffelt.com  or find FfolkyFfelt on Facebook and Twitter

‘hand spun yarn and vintage fabric collection, handmade in wales’…

welcome to nellie and eve

coming from a long line of creative women, seamstress’s, embroiderers and home makers, nellie and eve is named after my grandmothers. based on a hill in rural south west wales uk, the products you find here are all handmade in my workshop and reflect my love of a homespun lifestyle. hand spun yarn and recycled textile accessories for you and your home. all wool is sourced locally with a ‘woolly miles’ total of under 5 miles, usually from the sheep that happily graze the fields surounding my workshop and the production of each item uses a traditional spinning wheel, hand or peg loom, old singer sewing machine or a simple crochet hook. my wool items come under the name ‘tegan wool’, welsh for beautiful. vintage fabric has been happily collected, a passion for many years with each piece selected for its colour and/or texture and ready for new use

artist and painting workshops http://www.juliaharris.info/   I am a Welsh artist, living in Mid Wales.

The way I paint is from inside me. It’s not some mechanical action learned or mimicked: my work is a portrayal of all my happy, sad, joyous and turbulent feelings. I think that my passion for painting is revealed through my approach to my work. My work has been described as energetic, vibrant, theatrical, romantic and erotic. Certainly, I feel that it expresses the essential me. I want people not only to look at my work: I want them to feel it, both with their eyes and their hearts. I want to create an emotion inside them, because to create something that stirs feeling inside the onlooker is a great achievement.
